How did you get started as an author?

I initially started writing as part of a roleplaying group on twitter. Eventually I met my best friend, Charity Hendry and she gave me the confidence to start writing books.

What was your first book?

Surrendered Control, book one in the Control Series

How has your writing style developed?

I was afraid when I started writing of embracing the darker side of my nature. No I let it flow freely.

What are you writing about in the anthology?

My hero, Alex  suffers from Type One Diabetes.

Why are you taking part in this anthology?

My husband was diagnosed with Type One last year and I want to do this to give back to him, and all men suffering from illnesses that you can't always see. I also want to dispel a lot of myths about diabetes as my husband is often told he has it because he eats badly. It isn't true with type one.

Why do you think it's important to spread the message of this anthology?

The Movember foundation is an important charity helping men coping with a variety of illness each day. If I can support them in anyway I want to.

What is your favorite line from your manuscript?

I think I’ll need to bring Peter out to play tonight. He’s my rabbit vibrator, named after Beatrix Potter’s Peter Rabbit…I’m a total dork sometimes.

Did you research your story?

I've been to so many hospital appointments with my husband and read so many books over the last year I didn't need to do any more research

Is there any one thing you have to have when writing?

Coffee and noise.

What influences your work?

My life is the biggest influence on my work. I try to introduce things I've seen, experienced or read into everything I do.

Who is your favourite author?

I'm a big Pepper Winters fan but I have to say I have so many I can't really choose just one.

Any book that holds a special place in your heart.

My first book, because I achieved it!
